The WN578 / WN523 series is Wavlink's entry-level, single-band repeater. Simpler than the AC1200 line, with the same ap.setup login.
Plug it in near your router, connect to its WAVLINK-XXXX WiFi, then open ap.setup or 192.168.10.1 and sign in with admin. Choose Repeater mode unless you're wiring it in as an Access Point.
These are 2.4GHz-only, entry-level wall-plug repeaters. They log in identically and offer the same two modes — only the housing shape differs between them.

Skipping these is why the login page "won't load" for most people. Do them in order.
Type it in the address bar, not the search box. If ap.setup doesn't load, the numeric address does the same job.
On a new or freshly reset WN578/WN523 unit, the default is username admin or blank, password admin.
N300 units are single-band and skip Router mode entirely — you're choosing between these two.
Rebroadcasts your existing WiFi wirelessly to reach a far room. No cable needed.
Run an Ethernet cable to it and it creates fresh WiFi — the more stable option if you can wire it.
Strong link to your router. Setup worked — go ahead and relocate the unit.
Connected but weak. Move the extender closer to the router and re-check.
No usable link to the router. Wrong WiFi password, or placed too far out.
Check the outlet before anything else.
